El Salvador, COVID and Preventative Medicine

Watching governments’ response to COVID-19 for the past two years has been equal parts painful and frustrating. Like overcooking your favorite cut of steak. While being poked in the eyeball.
By March 2020, it was clear that certain people were at dramatically higher risk of severe disease and hospitalization with COVID-19 – people with obesity, diabetes, metabolic disease, Vitamin D deficiency and the elderly (who over-represent these co-morbidities).
At that point, the best strategy to reduce the impact of the virus on society and load on healthcare systems (early treatment aside) would have been targeted protection of these high-risk groups along with diet and lifestyle-focused public health messaging that empowered people to address the metabolic #RootCauses of severe infection.
Sound simple?
The 80/20 of this approach was (and still is) to minimize processed food consumption and get healthy sun exposure. Stop eating refined carbs, processed fructose, sugar, candy, soda, baked goods, cereals and seed oils. Eat whole food animal products. Do resistance training. Go outside get sun on the skin.
Doing so would:
reduce hyperglycemia
reduce smouldering metabolic inflammation
increase Vitamin D levels
increase nitric oxide synthesis
augment antiviral immune function
Basically address the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying severe infection.
Regardless of the efficacy or timeline of vaccination, such a strategy would not only fortify the population against the current circulating variant of SARS-COV-2, but also against future variants of SARS-COV-2 and yet-to-be discovered (or engineered) viruses. Importantly, this approach would kill multiple birds with a single stone by fixing the slow-moving train wreck that is the obesity and diabetes epidemic.
In the face of this strikingly simple logic, every major government in the world found a way to avoid communicating this key health advice. In fact, many nations including former ‘free’ western democracies like UK, Canada and Australia, did the complete opposite.
Clown World Public Health
They locked everyone inside, including healthy people, with no access to sunlight, faces glued to the Netflix screen, constantly bathed in blue light and non-native EMF radiation, eating takeaway ‘food’ drenched in seed oils with no access to gyms.
Then when vaccines arrived, they mandated injections for all, regardless of underlying risk of severe disease in full knowledge that vaccines don’t prevent viral transmission. Don’t say I didn’t tell you They Don’t Care About You.
Vaccination provides important stop-gap immunity for the most vulnerable in society. But it is no substitute for addressing #RootCause metabolic susceptibility factors. And it should only be optional for young, metabolically healthy people at low risk of severe disease. I guess I’ll keep saying this till I’m blue in the face.
Talk about a clown world.
El Salvador’s bold move
So it was a pleasant surprise to see the Central American nation of El Salvador recently provide the type of public health messaging we all needed from the very beginning.
In a short video released on President Nayib Bukele’s Twitter account, people are informed about the chronic disease risk factors COVID then advised to exercise outside, get sun exposure for Vitamin D, stay hydrated, reduce stress, reduce alcohol and reduce sugar. Pretty much spot on.
* The changes I would make to the video would be to emphasize poly-unsaturated seed oils, not saturated fat, as damaging factors to health. Nor would I recommend everyone go overboard with the orange juice (a potent liquid fructose that can certainty worsen metabolic dysfunction).
What’s more, El Salvador has been one of few nations along with the Indian State of Uttar Pradesh to distribute early treatment medication packages containing Ivermectin for early outpatient treatment of COVID. An extremely safe treatment protocol that appears to be responsible for crushing the epidemic curve in Uttar Pradesh (see the work of FLCCC).
El Salvador is also one of the few nations that has removed vaccination travel requirements on travellers, and removed any sort of domestic vaccine mandate – making vaccines available and optional for those who want them.
These are the measures taken by a government who actually cared about their people. Who weren't beholden the Vaccine Imperialism of a multi-national pharmaceutical syndicate. Who weren't trying to use a virus and ‘Science’ as excuse to rob their citizenry of civil liberties and Natural Rights. Compare to the emergent Bio-Security Police State nations (see Part I, Part II and Part III).
Dawning of a New Era
What about El Salavador makes them the only country (to my knowledge) who is now actively promoting #RootCause preventative public health messaging against COVID-19? Is it something to do with their recent adoption of the neutral global digital monetary standard, Bitcoin? That’s an open question, hit me up if you have any ideas.
El Salvador has taken an important step in the right direction. That step is the decentralization of health care— empowering people to wrest back control of their health from corporate gatekeepers in the form of Big Pharma.
Is this the beginning of a global movement? I sure hope so.
